Well i have been abandoning this little place for a while.

Things in life get overlooked and i just forget things, this is one of them, amongst many that have seemed to have got lost in the happenings of living.

So with the realisation that a vast collection of 'things' in my life appear to have been ignored or forgotten, i am at the stage where i feel i need to regain back the things that are important to me.

Living for reasons is important, its reasons that make life happen, if you don't have a reason to live, is life worth living?

So, yes that is a big loud SO! one that makes you sit up when you say it. I am making myself reasons to live, good, wonderful, magic, inspiring, never to forget reasons to live my life instead of just existing.

DISCOVERING WHATS INSIDE

come and discover whats inside your imagination

come and play and learn to paint freely without rules

i will take you on a journey to delve into your mind and open up a whole world of imagery that you can manipulate into wonderful mixed media creations.

the workshop will run for 4 weeks

after the 4 weeks it shall remain open for you to work at your own pace.

all videos are downloadable and you can keep them forever!

i will also be providing some PDF's for you to down load

i will be available for questions and chit chat by mail and also a couple of live chitchats and demos.

so come and join me for 4 weeks of mitsi craziness!

i am limiting the numbers of the first run of this workshop to ten, so it shall be on a first come basis.

each week has at least four 20min videos and tons of other stuff to entertain your brain

our little exhibition went really well and we had lots of fun on the opening night.

i was totally done in! lol and i am not the best person at meeting and greeting .....i tend to panic and say stupid things.....i am rather shy!....the look of panic can be seen in some of the photos of me!

Another class i am taking is paint free with wyanne. i must say this is one of the best classes i have done (mystele's gut art being the other!)

if you want inspiration, and learn to free your mind of negatives and just paint without any woes, or worries, then i thoroughly recommend taking it

in an act to get my creative juices flowing i signed myself up for a few classes,
the first being suzi blu la sirena .....i am not particularly fond of mermaids but since i was a child i always wanted to be a cartoonist for disney, i used to spend ages copying mickey mouse, and my favourite pinoccho stills.......i still have the drawings i did as a child i must find them and scan them.

Well, all went really well for my open house this year, in fact it went fantastically well, i sold 25 paintings, four from my new 'weird' style (as everyone seemed to describe them!)

the rest of the painting were watercolours, mainly my poppies and flowers.

i have decided that i am going to have a sale of some paintings that are a couple of years old, i have searched through my portfolios, i would love these all go to good homes instead of stuck away not seen or before i paint over them!!!

we are off to the new forest again, no power, just candles and campfires.

My mission this year is to find a glow worm, and to spot a night jar, we are planning to have our very own spring watch

we have printed out the ladybug spotter, so we can see how manny different kind we find.

well, long time gone indeed. such a lot has been going on, my life has taken a rather drastic change and i am only just managing to get into a routine. Before christmas my husband was no longer happy in his job, he had been working in a fish and chip shop for 15 years and basically the owner was taking the 'Michael' to put it politely. So we looked into getting his own place, just a takeaway shop in a small local area, we found the perfect place, just down the road from where we live, it had a flat above that we could let out....perfect, i could still do my art, and he would have his own business. Unfortunately this did not work out as the owner wanted far too much money and would not budge, so we decided to look else where.........that same day we found a place we never in a million years thought we would be able to afford, or get, it was a well established (103 years!) fish and chip shop with a restaurant in the centre of a busy shopping precinct. Well to cut a long story short we are now the proud owners. Its been such hard work, so much to do, we did most of the work ourselves, we have had doubts and worries. I am now running the restaurant side and accounting working lots of hours, my husband does all the cooking and we are finding ourselves having to employ people too, the whole family has been helping, my 75 year old mum also comes in to help!

So needless to say i have been unable to find time to do any painting, i miss it so very much. Things are starting to settle down and i am starting to try to find myself again. I have gone from being at home, doing my artwork, running the home, and looking after my son and daughter to working 40 hours a week and still trying to do everything i was doing before...................and i can say it does not work!

today i find myself with a day of to try to catch up on things, but i think i will need to go into work as the weather has warmed up and we are finding we are very busy indeed :)

My husbands name is James Brown and we were going to call it

'The Cod Father'

but we wanted something a bit more catchy

So Jimmy's Chippy it was.

My plans are to also run art classes as we have a spare room, i am also able to hang my painting there too, i have not had time to price them up yet! all very exciting.

well we have been open two months now

and i think everything is gonna be ok.

now to go and tackle that washing up, laundry, ironing, dusting, hoovering and gardening!

having an identity crisis

Well i seem to be going through a strange phase, i am not sure if it has something to do with turning 40, but i have realised i am having an identity crisis! i am feeling lost and not me, i have even begun to ask who i am!............who am i?

i am a person who likes doing this this;

i work as a freelance knitwear designer, this is my little corner of all things knitty

and a very small selection of my far to large yarn stash

i also do this

but now things are changing and i am doing this, a lot of this, i have 2 filled sketch books of it. I feel ashamed to show some all of it.

maybe my art is just evolving? then again i am not sure if i am going backwards!!

i have cut my hair , dyed it blonde, now i am thinking of dying it back darker, oh my! maybe this is a midlife crisis!
